Race Report - Sept 2005

"Andy & Crew,
After a shaky start to the 2005 season and 9 races later, I have captured the 45 Hydro Championship. We just finished the last race of the season, all the way up in Hurricane Utah, 2813 feet in elevation and I placed second for the day and wrapped up the class! My hydro, a scratch built 3 point hydro, was a collaboration project with my teammate Tony Siebers. This hydro, utililized custom billet hardware and composite materials. We call the Hydro the "Tiburon" or the Shark.

My teammate, Russell "Tony" Siebers held the lead from the begining until the 7th race where I passed him and held the lead to the championship. He and I, running MAC 45 engines held off the entire field and kept the lead between us...not bad out of 18 hydros.!! We each thank you for your time, products and advice throughout the season and we plan to do it again in 2006!!! Out of a total of 9 races, Tony and I had 6 wins between us!! Doesnt leave much for the CMB's and aging Picco's.... Once again, your the best in racer support and we shall remain supportive of your products!!"

Respectfully,
Rey Garcia & Tony Siebers

Race Report - Sept 2005

"Andy,
We just got home from our last race of the season and I just wanted to thank you for your help throughout the year. The 21 outboard is just incredible. E.J. began racing with the adults 2 races ago and won 2 heats and finished 3rd for the weekend. In the first heat, he jumped the start by about 2 seconds and was able to run
everyone down and passed for the win on the turn on the last lap. Unfortunately, he got washed down in 2 heats but won the 4th heat after lapping the field. The motor is turning up a ton of RPMs and has that head turning sound.

Emily won 3 rounds and finished 2nd in the other racing against gas hydros with her MAC powered Speedmaster.

My MAC 45 is still running strong. I hit the setup on the Speedmaster a few races ago and it's just a rocket now. Someone said they shot it at 62 with a radar during the last heat of the day. I'm not sure that's accurate since I do not have a gun of my own but it pulls that X455 all day.

Please also thank everyone at CMDI for me. All of their service has been incredible."

Race Report - June 2005

Congratulations to Luis Ayala for finishing in first place with a MAC powered SGX.

On left is Luis Ayala and on the right is 2nd place Rey Medina.
"Last week we finished the "High Point Champion" Competition in Puerto Rico. The club is PRMO Puerto Rico mini offshore. I won second place using a 60 Mono Seducer boat and a MAC engine. I also competed in a Mono 40 category using a combination Laser 40 with a MAC engine. This boat belongs to Jorge Ruiz from Marine RC Hobby. I drove the boat all year with great results. This year I started in a Outrigger 90 category, officially winning first place. Andy Brown brought me the boat back in August. He personally set it up at the lake and it showed excellent performance.

Thank you Andy, John, and the Team. It's a pleasure using MAC engines and SGX outriggers. It's been my best choice in 15 years of RC boating. At the 90 category:

Regards

- Luis Ayala
